Original Instructions School is excited to offer you our Internal Arts Retreat at the highland Peruvian temple of Chaupin (Chavin).

In the Spirit of the #metoo movement and healing feminine sexuality, we will gather with Grandmother ShirleyChristine Mcardle-Oquendo and Brittany Jade at an ancient temple where humans have been trekking to for generations in search of guidance and healing.

During this transformational, week-long immersion you will have the opportunity to evolve and fine-tune your relationship with yourself, your practice and others.

The theme of our Internal Arts Retreat at the temple of Chaupin in Peru is Mending the Web of Life.

Grandmother Spider teaches us that all of life is woven together and she can also guide us in mending our web of life when it becomes torn or tattered through the many traumatizing situation life can bring.

With the help of Grandmother Shirley (who works alongside Grandmother Spider), we are so grateful to be offering a retreat dedicated to the healing of sexual trauma and the sharing of knowledge about how to help facilitate this process in others.

Through traditional healing ceremonies, we will provide space for you to connect back with yourself and your purpose here. when difficult issues arise, or when you would like to petition help for your prayers Grandmother Shirley and the presence of Indigenous ancestral instruments will aid in the recognition, reconciliation, and release of what no longer nurtures you.

Sometimes cellular memories of old events are stored in our bodies and can be difficult to fully let go of. Through working with Christine in daily yoga classes focusing on the Bowspring Alignment global yoga movement you will learn tools for restructuring and fortifying your body, posture, and self.

In addition to guiding you in daily classes of yogic Bowspring Alignment work, Christine will be teaching our Aromatherapy Certification training during the daytime class hours of this Internal Arts Retreat. Christine has been working with her relationships to yogic practice, traditional ceremonies, and essential oils for decades in order to heal from and transcend that which no longer serves.

Take your knowledge and skills of Traditional Shamanic Herbalism to the next level with Original Instructions founder and teacher Brittany Jade. During her immersion classes, you will practice hands-on traditional ancestral offerings, medicine preparation, healing techniques with plants and more. Brittany's herbalism classes during this retreat will include teachings about the Plant Nations from local Peruvian herbalists and Grandmother Shirley.

As with all of our Original Instructions Internal Arts Retreats we will be having lessons from local Indigenous elders, as well as dietary and lodging accommodations that provide health and rejuvenation for all. During this week we will also be offering our students the opportunity to participate in three traditional Huachuma Ceremonies in the temple of Chaupin. These ceremonies can be deeply moving and life-changing and participating in them is optional. Our local hosts will guide us through traditional ceremonies, during which we will work with healing ourselves through plant medicine, ancestral indigenous music, fire keeping and mesa laying.
