The Medicinal Cotton Tree, an all purpose Herbal Ally first aide
With over 40 relatives in the Cotton family, we can look to them to provide head to toe support for Survivors. How many generations have survived because of Cotton? Through the Winters - tapestries containing recipes and Instructions woven on a loom, spun by hands from a chalk-lined Coconut shell. How many Humans have died due to the inversión and misuse of Cotton - torttured and trafficked. Why does capitalism seem to inevitably pervert and twist the most sacred of Plants to such foul uses? When all we should really Say to Cotton is, "gracias Mamá".
Cotton catches the blood, carries the People, heals our aches, holds our memorias, and keeps our babies warm.
She, Cotton root (bark, when taken internally) who spoke up from beneath the soil....a deep, soulful humming which offers sovereignty back to the Survivors who became pregnant against their own will, and in circumstancs where Life cannot grow. Her seeds then protecting from any future unwanted pregnancies through making semen sterile (the seeds, when taken internally). Helping to alleviate pain, regulate menstruation, and support wellness throughout the great transition of menopause.
The Cotton ball fiber, which cushions our sleep with dreams of perserverance, and wraps our senses in a fine yet undeniably strong sense of protection...allowing for the only time of true rest. Many times the sleep space and dreams time is the only part of a Survivors life over which they have or feel any sovereignty within.
Several of Cotton relatives produce seeds which have been known to treat migraines, parasites, and even dysentery. For many generations, and especailly for those without access to clean water or moderna medicine, stopping continual vomitting / diarrea with Cotton seeds has been on the front lines of life saving support.
In countless ways Cotton relatives have, and continue to provide first aide in so many senses to us Humans.

When you are not awarded a grant or outside funding You applied for, it can still be a wonderful opportunity to receive constructive feedback, as well as to begin building your relationships with relavent organizations.....
